315 75/16...need some reassurance...
I just bought a PA 3" body lift to install on my 2000 f-150 4x4. My plan is to go with 315/75-16 (probably BFG MT) on a 16x10 rim (probably Pro Comp 1069). The rim specs (backspace, etc.) seem to be the same as other folks who have gone with the same setup. But I was talking to an employee at the local 4wheelparts store and told me it absolutely would not work because of too many rubbing issues. He said the 305 was the biggest I could go with.
I have no problem trimming a little plastic. There are some really good pics (thanks Wandell) of this being done. Shouldn't this setup work? Will there be any issues with rubbing on the back of the front wheelwell when turning? I can't really do much about this because there's nothing I can trim there. Where exactly are the rubbing problems and can I remedy them all with trimming?
Thanks for the help...
