I hate to introduce myself this way but...

I am active on another car forum and I always make fun of guys that ask this question. Now I am about to make my first post/impression by asking...so here goes.

Tomorrow I pick up my new Super Crew 4x4. I have looked through threads & threads of tires & wheels. I have decided the look that I like is a 20 x 9 wheel with the 285/65/20 BFG K/Os. Will I need to get the truck level to avoid rubbing or will they fit as-is?

Thanks in advance. :StupidNewbieQuestionSmilie:

You'll need a leveling kit for 04+ trucks as that is about a 34.5" tire.

Thanks for the info. I saw that a couple of trucks that have this combo did indeed have the leveling kit but I couldn't determine if the kit was necessary or if the owner just liked the look.

I agree. You will probably need the leveling kit.

Well I decided to go with 20 x 8 1/2" wheels and 305/55/20 Terra Grapplers. They look great. There was no rubbing until I hit a bump at full lock. I put the leveling kit on and all is good.

Thanks. They are 20 x 8.5 MB Yuma's. I think the MB's are only sold through Discount.
