Knight Chrome?

Ordered these in a 20" X 9" this week. Gonna wrap them in Procomp 35" X 12.50" Extreme M/T. Going on a 06' white FX4 with the DSG strip across the bottom. What do yall think?

I'll warn you now, that finish scratches VERY VERY easily. I love the look, but even taking your finger and wiping the surface with dirt on it will scratch it. That said, be very careful and avoid frequent rubbing. Also, look into some wheel wax.

Lumadar - you scared me about the easy scratching so I called Procomp. I was told that the knight chrome isn't a plating like an actual chrome but rather a powder coating. Supposedly its a pretty tough finish and they have a 5 year warranty.

Anyone have experience with Procomp...do they stand by their products and honor their warranties?

I will be sure to post pics once the wheels and the lift are installed. Since the wheels are on back order it's going to be three weeks I'm told.

Well I hope it is different. I looked at a "shadow chrome" finish wheel that looks exactly like that finish and when I found a car on the lot with them and I touched it and it scratched it scared me away.

Can't wait to see how they look on your truck

i've been really pleased with my pro-comp wheels and pro-comp MTs. have held up very well and i've put them through some paces. got a few scratches, but you can't expect to avoid them all! i love the wheel, love the look of the finish, and am sure pictures don't do it justice. that finish hasn't been around for long, so you're a guinea pig! can't wait to see pics . . .

(i hope im not double posting the same message, my other one never showed up)

i just purchased these pro comp 9005 knight chrome in 20" with toyo open country mudder n a 7" lift cst kit. i luv these wheels, best lookin finish out there by far. the shop i bought them from said to only use microfiber towels to clean and dry. (i found a microfiber wash mit to wash them with and costco has a 36pack of microfiber towels cheap) ur only to use soap and water to clean them none of that wheel cleaner! they guy said to not let the car wash rags touch my rims. i agree its a bit more time consuming to clean them than regular wheels, but these wheels are by far better than anything out there! they have different shades of color depending on the sunlight and shadows and night time. youll luv these wheels!

Those look pretty cool. I've never seen them on a truck which makes them even cooler.

I'd be worried about scratching them. If a regular wash mit will scratch them, I could only imagine what they will look like after going off road.

Well this blows

The lead time 10 days ago was three weeks. I double checked with them today and found that it would be mid August...another 4+ weeks.

Gave up on those wheels and went with the teflon coated PXA 7005's.

Sucks that I had to compromise with what I really wanted but now I won't have to worry so much about scratching the finish and I can get the lift installed next week. I'll post up some pics after the lift.

I would of waited for the the original wheels in the Knight Chrome. Sure, it sucks to have to wait the extra month+, but then you are getting exactly what you want and not settling for something else that you may be kicking yourself in the a$$ for later.
