Mushy brakes

Need help please

My son replaced front pads and rotors on his 2002 Explorer Sport. He also replaced the wheel bearings. Now, frequently while stopping, at the end of the stop the barkes become mushy and the steering wheel pulls to the left. He has bled the brakes and the problem persists.

Anyone have any ideas ?

Did he use shims on the new pads and did the old pads have shims? Did he grease the caliper bolts?

The old pads did not have shims so he did not shim the new pads. But yes, he did grease the caliper bolts.

I would go back and check the right side pads and make sure they are setting in the caliper correct, also wearring the same as the left.

My son took it to the Ford Dealer and they checked it and said that the ABS sensor was bad. Total cost to be about $800.
