Lug bolt replacement

I have a 79 4x4, I was rotating my tires and torqueing the lug nuts down to 140 ft lbs and one of the lugs broke on the front wheel. Also I need to do a brake job on the front so I will have most everything off. Question is What is the best procedure for replacing the lug bolt?
Will I need to replace the front bearings since they are sealed?

I think you mean the stud broke? I've just used a hammer to pound the old one out and the new one in, but it's better to use an impact wrench to install the new one. Didn't think they used sealed bearings in '79, but unless it's bad why replace it?

Why the )*(*%$ were you going for 140 ft-lb??? That's WAAAAAYYYY too high for the stock axles. Read this:

The stock front axle for a '79 F150 4WD is a full-floating solid Dana 44, which has normal greasable wheel bearings.
