17" Moto Metals? 07 XLT ok?

I want to get 17" MotoMetals but someone mentioned that some aftermarket 17" wheels are not big enough for the newer calipers on F150. Is this true for the Moto Metal 951s?

Anyone running 17" Moto Metals and are ok? Anyone with pics of that size and tire size would be helpful too. I can go with 18" but the 17" are cheaper as well as tire prices too

Not sure about the fitment issue on 07's but even tho the 17's are cheaper as well as tire prices, you'll find alot more tires to choose from in 18's. Just a thought.

Any problems towing with an 18" wheel versus a 17" wheel if changing to aftermarket ones? I was thinking of getting the Moto Metal 951's, and the 18" comment got me thinking whether or not I'd still be able to tow my 24' enclosed trailer.

It shouldn't make a difference.

It's not really the rim size but the total circumference change. IF you were to keep stock 17 inch wheels and say put on 40 inch tires (extreme example) from a stock 30 inch tall tire, yeah, you would have a tow problem.

You can use a tire calc like here just to see what tire/wheel changes affect circumference.
