Tires & Wheels Questions

As i'm sure you'll come to realize, i'm new to the aftermarket side of tires/rims...engines are more my thing..

I was thinking about getting **** Cepek DC-1 17x9 rims with **** Cepek Mud Country 35x12.50x17 with a fabtech 6 inch suspension lift and more then likely the 3 inch body lift to avoid cutting the tire well plastic..Anyone have this combo? and/or comments or advice about it? I also dont know how to tell what the backspacing is on those rims considering they're online and dont mention it? any help is appreciated, Thanks.

If you look on Mickey Thompson/**** Cepek's website, it should give you the backspacing. You want between 4.5 and 5 inches of backspacing. I would not go with the body lift if you are just gonna run 35's. The 6 inch lift will give you plenty of clearance for 35's. The only trimming you may have to do is the corner of the front bumper's lower valance, which is not noticable.

Chances are they probably just don't make that wheel with that application. A conversion chart won't help you, because bolt patterns are unique to their measurment. I have, however, heard of some members using an adapter. Wandell will know for sure.

ok so i found out that there are a couple of sizes of the DC-1 rims that will fit the 5x135 lug pattern..16x8 16x10 or 17x9..now my question is which one's will ride the smoothest? but also look good at the same time..and also should i go with chrome or polished as far as looks and cleaning are concerned?

I think they would all look great but i would personally go with the 16x10 or 17x9.

I agree. Chrome will look the best and be easiest to keep up.
