8" vs 10" wheel w/ spindle lift

I think I have 10" now, and if I went to 8" wide, would the tires get pulled in toward the truck more? Will the same tire look any different from a 8" to a 10" wheel?

If the backspacing is the same, the wheels will be tucked in 2 inches. The tire will look slightly narrower.

thanks wandell. I know it's a noob question, but I know what a coilspring spacer is and I know what a spindle lift is and I know what suspension (real) lift is, but what is a body lift?

A body lift is just as it sounds. It uses lift blocks to lift your body off your frame to increase ride height without touching the suspension. If you are looking into one Performance Accessories makes the best ones on the market.
Do you have a lift in your truck now masonball?

Ya, you can see my truck in the galleries, but you have to search for My 03. I can't seem to get the little camera in the top right of the sig to connect to it. I have a (3.5"?) spindle lift. Just trying to get the wheels tucked back in to the truck. They sit pretty far out and I want taller and wider tires.

Nice truck
What size tires are on there now and are those american eagle 102's?
Are you gonna put a body lift in it?

Thanks I really like the look of my truck even though I bought it with someone elses mods. I would like to add a little more lift, but by body lift does everyone mean coilspring spacers? It seems like everyone is talking about something different when they say body lift. I'd like to get 305/70/16 (or /75/16 whatever it is) and I'm not sure if I can do that now. some 35's eventually would be even better, but I dont know what I'm doing as far as more lifts are concerned.

A body lift uses lift blocks. You have to take the cab,box etc...and put the blocks in between the body and the frame.A BL costs about $150 bucks parts.
I'm not sure about what size tire you can fit on there now?Wandell will prob chime in and tell ya what size you can fit now.

I'd run 33's with the spindle lift you have. If you add a body lift you could fit 35's. A body lift and coilspring spacers are two different things. Coilspring spacers are just spacers that sit on top of your coilsprings to give you another 2 inches of lift.

I just found the P.A. body lift online for 200 bucks. It seems like it would be hard to install that by yourself, like it would have to be done pro. Maybe I'm wrong...
but with a 3.5" spindle lift that I have now and 16x10 wheels and then a 3" body lift, it seems like 33's will be small.

Also masonball if you go up in tire size you may want to regear your rear end

my rear is 3.55 ls. Right now there are 265/75/16 and they look o.k., just not meaty enough. Really? 200 for the P.A. body lift is too much? I wonder if I'd leave my rear blocks when I do the body lift? I guess it's obvious that I would lose the rear lift if I took 'em out, but if I leave them... well I just don't know where the body spacers go for the body lift. If they're in a diff spot than the rear blocks, then it makes sense to leave em.
