Do you lube the caliper sliders?

I've got an 02 F-150 with rear discs. I noticed that my new pads came with new sheetmetal pieces that the calipers slide on. Do these parts usually get any sort of lube, anti-squeel, etc?

Also, on the front brakes the pins that the caliper slides on are covered by rubber boots, the bolts slide through them. Do these pins need to be dissassembled and relubed?

yes. grease all caliper slide pins. ive never seen rear discs on a 150 but every rear disc setup ive ever done you grease the pins. if the pins are gouged or pitted just replace them. being a 02 they should be good. my 97s were in need of replacement they are not expensive so...

Yup, grease with antisieze both the bolts holding the caliper on and especially where the pad slides on. Be extra careful not to put antisieze on the rotor, but coat it nonetheless. Put that antisieze wherever a contact between pad and caliper or slider is made, just none on the pad friction surface and rotor face obviously. Where the pad on the rears have clamps (outer pad) put antisieze there too where it slides onto the caliper (very important). Missing spots will not hurt anything, just will squeel like pigs until you do grease them.

Ok, one more stupid brake question.

When bleeding the brakes on an 02 F-150 do I need to do anything to the ABS system or do I just bleed the calipers? I had a Honda once that had an ABS accumulator that had to be blead, before I mess up something I wanted to make sure the F-150 doesn't have anything like that.
