Question Advice!

I'm a new memeber and am looking for a little advice.

I have an 05 f-150 fx4 with a rough country 2.5" leveling kit. Right now I have 285/70/17 BFG AT. I am looking to go bigger because they just dont fill up the wheel well like I want them too. Will 315/70/17's BFG AT's fit??? some people tell me they will and some say they wont. I dont mind a little trimming as long as it's plastic. and i still want to keep my original wheels. And i am also wondering how i can get my tires to stick out from my truck. Does that automatically happen when i get the wider tires or is there something else i have to do???

Ryan, I have the 315's on my truck now. You have to mount these tires on the stock wheels or aftermarket wheels with close to stock specs to give you enough clearance. The more they stick out the more chances they have to rub, the front wheelwell is the biggest problem area. Click on the little camera icon to see pics in my gallery.

PawPaw what are the spec's in your wheels? Did you have any rubbing with this set up? My truck is 4x4 with a 2" AS leveling kit and would like to see 315/70/17's on it. Thanks.

The wheels on my truck now are 17x8 with 5.5" backspace and no rubbing.

Thank you! I am trying to decide to stay with the factory KR wheels or go aftermarket. The 317/70/17 BFG tires are priced more reasonable. But, I hate to take the KR wheels off. I appreciate your response.
