325/60/18 level kit, MTZ or Nitto TG
325/60/18 level kit, MTZ or Nitto TG
Couple questions/opinions i need here for my 2004 4x4 supercab
1. With a 2.5" level kit and moto metal 951's do you guys think 325/60/18 (33x13.50) will look good, or will they just stick out too far? opinions please
2. I am decidinig between Nitto Terra Grapplers and Mickey Thompson MTZ tires. MTZ's are supposed to be good road mud tires, I know alot of people have the Nitto TG's I am just worried they won't do the job when I go offroad. Most of the offroading I do will be in the dunes(sand) and some mud. Also I live in Michigan, so snow/ice is also a small consideration.
Thanks for any help

Check my gallery for pics, I have Hankook M/T in 325/60/18 on 18x9 rims with 5" of backspacing. I think the 951's come in several different backspacing options, so do some research first. If I am not mistaken, I would recommend the 951's with around 5.5" of backspacing. These would stick out about 0.5" less than mine. I like the look of my setup, sticks out just right. You should also consider the Hankook's. They have been a great tire for me so far, not too loud, and they perform wel in the mud/sand. Good luck!
I am looking at the same wheel and tire set-up. I have the leveling kit and the 325/60/18 are in my opinion the best looking setup.
I am having the same concerns. I don't want the tires to stick out a ton. Definetely go with the 18x9 and go with a 5.5 or 6" backspacing.
My only conern with that much backspacing is the rubbing factor...
I am going with the Nitto's.. Have heard great things about them.

Wandell.....what is the most backspacing that will work with a 325/60/18 tire on a 2.5" leveling kit....a little rubbing that can be fixed by some trimming is ok...i just don't want to rub if I can't trim it a little...thanks
