Rize wheel fitment question
Rize wheel fitment question
I know rize recommends 4.5" of backspacing, but the wheels I was going to get XD series Monsters have 5" of backspacing. Is that going to be a problem? I called the place in dallas that will be doing the lift and they didnt think it would work, but where going to look into it. I dont know much about wheel fitment, so I thought id ask you guys!
Here's the info on the wheels:
Part Number: W/PXD77821067212N
20x10, 6 on 135 / 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern;
Back Spacing = 5.02 in.;
Offset = -12 mm.;
Hub Bore = 106.25;
Finish = Chrome

I have a 6" rize with a Pro Comp Wheel that has a 5 inch backspacing and i do have some rubbing issues. I e-mailed Rize with the pictures below and they stated that this is normal.

This is the e-mail response i got from them:
" Sorry for the delay in responding. That is normal, those are the bump stops so you don't turn too far. If it is creating any issues with the way the truck drives please bring it to our attention. Thanks Rize Ind.

Subject: Is this an Installation Issue ?-Second Request
Hi,
I recently bought your 6" Lift Kit thru one of your authorized Dealer's Tom's Tire in Signal Hill CA about 3 weeks ago. I have a 2006 Ford F-150 FX-4 4X4 with a 35" X 12.5" R18 Toyo Open Country MT.
Your Ad said a 6" lift will clear a 35" tire but i am still having some rubbing during turns. I just checked and i noticed some grinding. Please see attached pictures.
Is this an installation issue ( will it affect the alignment of my truck) and how do we go about in having this fixed. I have also attached pictures of all the parts the dealer had taken out of the truck when they installed the kit."
