A.S. 2.5", Stock 17 x7.5 rims, Help with tires

I searched the posts, and may have missed one, so any help would be appreciated. I just added an A.S. 2.5" leveling kit, but don't have the money for new rims, at this time. Can someone tell me the biggest tires I can put on stock 17 x 7.5 rims, without having trouble. I was looking at 285's but don't know how they will look with the lift. Would 295's fit on the stock rim?
Thanks in advance for any help.

4x4 or 4x2? With a 4x4 you can go as large as a 315/70-17 (35x12.50). If you have a 4x2, I'd stick with a 305/65-17 (33x12.50).

I just did a AS 2.5 inch leveling kit. It an easy install. I get a discount on Goodyears so, I went with Goodyear Wrangler AT/Extremes 315/70/17 on stock rims. No clearence issues at all.....

Are you pleased with the way the tires fit on the wheels ? Any "pinching" of the tire by the wheel going on ?

Looks fairly pinched to me in that pic. 315mm is like 19 inches wide overall. Not sure about the tread section width on those tires, but they are WAY wider then the wheels.

If you like the look and can get a shop to go for it I'd say go for it. But I think you're bordering on saftey issues with that set up depending on what you do with the truck.

No pinching at all. I had goodyear do them. These tires are made to fit 8 to 12 inch wide rims. My rims were 7.5. Not that far off. I love the look. Pics dont do it justice......

Love the way your pickup looks.
I am trying to decide between 33's (285/70/17) and 35's (315/70/17) along with the 2.5 AS and have a feeling that I will like 35's better, any rubbing at full turn?
