I'm thinking about putting 285/65/18 BFG M/T's on my 2004 F-150 4.6l with the new body style. I have the crappy 17" Steel Gray(sp?) OEM rims right now, but plan on putting the nicer 18" Factory Ford wheels on. Will they rub/fit without a leveling kit?

 

If you have a 4x4, they will fit easily. If you have a 4x2, they will probably fit, but it will be very tight.

 

Yes, sorry it is a 4x4. Would you go bigger? What is max for an unleveled 4x4?

 

33x12.50's or maybe 305/65-18's (34x12.50).

 

I had the 285 bfg at's on my stock 4x4 and they were a perfect fit. I added a 2" leveling kit a little later and it looks that much better. Perfect size for me and you won't get any rubbing at all.

 

I have BFGs 305/65/18 on my 06 FX4 with a leveling kit and have no rubbing.

 

285 or 305's are a great choice on these truck's, especially leveled.
