front wheel shimmy

I recently bought a 2005 f 150 that was used. i've owned another '05 f 150 before but on this one i haved noticed that around 70 mph my steering wheel rattles, plus or minuse 10 mph and it slowes or stops. Can any one help me with this. My first idea is to get new tiers am i the right track?

get your alignment checked and tires balanced. if that doesn't help you might have a bent rim somewhere, I'm sure these guys will have other suggestions for you too good luck

Sounds like classic alignment/balancing adjustment stuff.

Sound's like a balance problem to me! Or may be our great Louisiana highways?

My 05 did this when I bought it. I had 2 bad tires (General Ameritrac) & 1 bad wheel.

Some have had problems with the rear driveshaft.
