36s

Could I fit 36x11.5 or 12.5s on my stock rims with 8 inches of suspension lift and a 3 inch body? 2002 4x4.

I'm sure Wandell will know for sure, but I'd have to think that you should be able to run 36's easy with that much lift?

Yeah I know that I can run 35x12.5s on the stock rims. I would assume with that much lift it would be the width of the tire that restricts me. I'm not an expert on rims and tires, but if I can fit 35x12.5s, shouldn't I be able to run just about any tire height as long as it is no more than 12.5" wide? The reason I'm asking is because I really don't have a lot of money to work with and I want to fill the wheel wells as much as possible without having to buy new rims.

you'll be fine, there are people on this forum that are running 37s with just an 8" lift on aftermarket wheels.

Yeah but that's exactly my point... I don't want to buy new wheels. All I really want to know is if I can fit any 12.5 inch wide tire on my stock 7 inch rims, regardless of tire diameter.

Yeah, you could fit any 12.50 inch wide tire on the OEM wheels. It's not ideal because the wheel is slightly narrower than recommened for a 12.50 inch wide tire, but it has been done. However, if you have 11 inches of lift, you really need to go all out with the wheel/tire combo also.

I know, but like I said I have a very limited supply of $$ to spend here. I have until Fall semester starts to get all this crap done and paid for. I'm in the middle of regearing ($1000), installing a body lift ($200), suspension lift ($1500) and getting tires ($1000). That's a lot of money for a 19 year old who has rent and a car payment to save in 3 1/2 months. I don't even know if I'll have enough to get new tires, meaning I'll be running my 33s with 11 inches of lift. Talk about goofy looking. Spending another $400 on rims just isn't practical. I'm sure I'll get them eventually, but for now it's not on the top of my to-buy list.

why don't you just hold off the body lift until you have the money for some new wheels.

no offence but i think thats kinda ridiculous.... why not just hold off and save your money... patience is a virtue... dont half *** it. i was in a similar situation.... i would just wait your going to be alittle angry after spending all that money and being unsatified. also 37's might look a little small for and 11" lift.
