I couldn't agree more. I actually chose the Toyo OC A/T's over the Nitto's due to the sidewalls being less "flashy". I love them.

I wouldn't go larger than a 33x12.50 on a 4x2 with a leveling kit.

Thanks Wandel!
I am also thinking of doing a 3" body lift as well. If I do this can I get 35's?
Also, what kit do you recomend for the body lift?

Yeah, you should be able to fit 35's if you add a 3 inch body lift also. I'd recommend the Performance Accessories body lift. They make the most complete kits on the market.

Sounds good. I found one on ebay and I think I will buy it. I have never installed anything like this before but I am good with hand tools ( I work in a machine shop) will it be difficult to install? Any reccomendations (I saw that you have a body lift as well)

I am going to go the route of 305's for mine when I get around to putting in the AS 2.5" for the front and 1-1/2" in the rear.

Just read and reread the instructions before you start. Also, start soaking all your body mount bolts with penetrating oil.

Yeah start soaking everything now if you plan on doing a body lift. Granted my bronco was about 10 years old but it took FOREVER to get those dang bolts broken loose. I actually ended up just sawing through them with a sawzall and replacing them.

budah, what is the backsapcing of your wheels. i have a 2" AS leveling kit and i am getting bigger tires for my 20 x 8.5" wheels w/ 6" backsapcing. i was considering the 33 x 12.5 x 20 toyo open country Muds. just wondering what your backspacing is so i can get an idea of what mine would be like compared to yours.
thanks

Alright Wandel, I bought the 3" kit that you recomended and I am already started to grease the bolts.
Do you advise against 35's with the new setup I wll have? Do I need to change gears? If so, I think I would rather stick with 33's.
What do you think?

I just saw this, sorry bout that. My wheels are 8" wide and have 5 1/2" backspacing (backspacing is the same as stock but the wheel itself is 1/2" wider).

stock backspacing is 5.5"?? even on oem 20's? so if i want my tires to stick out about 1-1.5 inches on both sides, i would have to go with a wheel that has like 4.5" of BS?

Not necessarily (& Wandell will help you better than me), you said your wheels where 8.5" wide - the stock are 7.5". It's my understanding that will stick out an 1" wider than stock (if you stay with the stock bs), so you'll have to select a bs that will give you your desired effect.

I'd wait for Wandell to give you his recommendation.

alright thanks budah. so if we got this right, your stick out 1/2" more than stock because you kept stock 5.5 BS and just went 1/2" wider on the wheel.

did you have any rubbing issues with your set up?
