33's?

I have a 2006 F150 SCAB 2wd. I have been reading that it is possible to fit 33's on the factory rims with a 2.5" level kit. I have the 18" stock fx4 rims.
I was hoping to get 33" BFG AT's, will this work?:help:

Yes

You may even be able to go with 35's as long as you stick with the stock wheels.

I take that back. I think I just noticed that you have a 2WD not a 4x4

Should I get a 3" body lift kit? will this work hand in hand with my 2.5" level spacer? How hard would it be to install ? If I can get 35's that would be great.

Would I be better off with a suspension lift over a body lift?

I'd stay away from a body lift and go with a suspension lift if you want to go with 35's. You might have enough room with a TrailMaster 4" lift? I'd recommend a Fabtech lift though. More $$$, but a nice kit.

I have a 2wd scab as well. With the 2.5" level kit, the front end *might* end up higher than the rear. :fyi:

Here was how my truck looked w/ a 2" and some 285/70/17 (33's)

Thanks for the info Budha, The spacers I have are 2.5" in 6061 alum. If they set the truck up too high in the front I will take them back out and fly cut them down thinner.
Did you have any rubbing with 33's?

I'm not sure, you'd have to wait till Wandel see's this thread and chimes in. I'd hate to give out wrong info.

The "rule" is with an AS leveler:
2WD - 33" with stock rims, not sure how big you can go with aftermarket wheels
4DW - 35" with stock rims (or rims similiar to stock specs) and 33" with aftermarket wheels

Thanks for the help.

The 35x12.5 tires fit fine on my rim. They say that the tire will bulge in the middle and wear slightly faster.
