bleeding brakes, preventative maint.??????

bleeding brakes, preventative maint.??????

what would be a fair/good schedule to bleed your breaks????

wouldnt hurt to do it at 50 or 100k but unless you are seeing alot of air in the top of the master cylender, or are having problems its one of those things that you could do but dont have to.

thanks for the feed back ,just wanted to stay on the preventative maint side rather than big buck (s) repairs.

yah i know what you mean, but you also have to understand that as the brake pads wear down, the pistons on the calipers are pushed farther out, and there will appear to be less fluid in the system all together....

And another thing to think about too, is at 75 or 100k, it will probably be worth the effort to go ahead and replace all of the brake fluid, and not just bleed it

A lot of Manufacturers recomend either 3 years or 36K miles.
