I bought the recalibrator from Ford Motorsport off of ebay, 100 bucks. I dunno if I'm going to get around to installing (procrastinator) but from 265 to 285 didn't seem to affect my km/h's too much, maybe 3-4 doing between 70-75 km/h. I probably will when the weather gets nicer, kinda limited to work space right now.

Go See the Dealer

Dealer can do it for like 50 bucks I have heard. Ask them before hand what size they can adjust for. If tires are too big then they can not.

Do a search here. You'll find a ton of info on this. Since you have a 98, you can probably just change out the speedo gear in the tranny. The gear is only about $10 and you can swap it out yourself.

It's so easy, a caveman could do it.

If your plans include getting a programmer, they all allow you to dial in for tire size.

He has a 98. The 97 and 98's are not computer controlled(speedo). You have to recalibrate by changing a small gear on the tranny. A programmer will not allow him to recalibrate his speedo like it will on 99-07's.

I put in a 19 tooth VSS gear to recal for my 265/75/16 tires. Stock was a 20 tooth. You need to 'speed up' your speedo/odo, so a smaller gear turns more rpms. You will probably need an 18 tooth gear to do the same thing assuming you have 3.55 gears.
