Chrome or Black?

Okay...in the Spring, I'm looking at a wheel/tire package. I've got plenty of time to do homework and don't want to rush into anything. Probably going with a 20" wheel and 33" rubber...love the Nitto Terra Grappler , but might consider the Toyo Open Country M/T for an even more aggressive look.

I've thought that a black wheel was right for my truck all along. (The chrome headlamps are coming out in exchange for black HD lamps, and black stepbars are going on.) The more I study it, I'm not opposed to the right chrome wheel though...maybe it needs a little contrast. So what's your opinion? Chrome or black?

(Sorry that the pictures suck, but it's pouring down outside and I haven't been able to get good pics yet.)

Helo

I had the Maxx6 on my previous truck (Dodge Ram) with 305/55-20. It was a heck of a setup and the only reason I wouldn't want to do it again is because...well...I've already had those. lol

good reason, but the terra grapplers are hands down the best out there.

I think you should go with a chrome rim.it would go better with the color of your truck, but then again it would also depend which black rim you would consider going with.

I agree. For an AT tire, especially on a larger wheel application, they can't be beat. I loved mine.

The only reason I'd do the Toyo Open Country M/T is is I decide for a bit more aggressive tread pattern and look...I hear they are scary quiet for an M/T.

I would go with a chrome/polished wheel and chrome step bars. IMO, it would
contrast nicely with the black and also make the black pop.

Titan 6

What about this wheel?

Available this year from Ultra. Called the "Titan 6" and would be 20x9, 6x135mm, +35mm offset, 6-3/8" backside setting...

Anyone have the wheel pictured above? I'm considering getting it as my MKW 28's may never arrive. Thinking of either 18" with 305/65/18 or the 20" with 285/65/20, BFG TA/KO in either case.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't really dig the full chrome lip around the outside of the wheel.

Why are you selling them?

I like these better. That's why I decided to sell the ones I have.

Im going to be different and say a black RockStar or similar would look great and keep the silver to black theme going down the truck.

No question.... go black. it will look real nice on your truck. Plus, if you want a little contrast, get a chrome (or polished metal) simulated bead lock ring like mine:
