I have my 2wd 04 f150 with a 3'' body and level kit. i have just been notified that i will need to buy at least a 17x9 wheel to fit a 35'' tire. is this true? i was going to put 35'' BFG AT on the factory rim.
no i dont think thats true i have 35 inch Pro Comp all terrains on my 2004 fx4 with 17 inch rims they may be 9 inches wide though im not sure b/c my truck is in the shop?
RIght. The OEM 17 inch wheels are 7.5 inches wide. Most tire manufacturer recommend an 8 to 10 inch wide wheel for a 35x12.50 (315/70-17), but many members here and at FTW have run that combo for years with no problems.
i guess ill do it that way for now and when i get some more money, i wanted to put 17'' moto metal 951's. and im going with BFG A/T. thanks everybody, ill be getting these very soon! and ill post pics.
