Smile would this work? I am new

I have a 1998 Ford F150 4x4 extended cab(3door) with the stock 16x8 rims. i currently have 255/70R/16 tires on the truck and i am looking for a more aggresive tread and size tire. what size 31inch tire and what brand would anyone consider?

If it is stock with no adjustment whatsoever I.e Torsion bars. than i would go with either Goodyear wranglers or Bfg all terrain.....both great tires with good warranty...I had the wranglers on my truck before i upgraded to 33's and i love them....good performance and they took a good beating.

even with out adjustment are years trucks will fit up toa 33 tire on stock rims with no/minor rubbing if it a 4x4 could also crank torison up a little if desired you will have no probs with that size

my experance's with Wranglers have not been good this being the tire thats on most military vechials thread comes off break beads and blow outs due to seperation and a blow out in city of falljah or bagdah aint the greatest place for it

I'd go with a 33 inch tire like the 285/75-16 BFG AT KO, Nitto Terra Grappler or Toyo Open Country AT.

Yes, a 245/75-16 (32x9.50) or 265/70-16 (31x10.50) will fit using 16x8 wheels, but why go with such a small tire? Most 4x4's came with 32's from the factory.

I just had these tires installed yesterday. So far so good. No noise and seem to ride pretty good.

Thanks Duckcall.
Tires are P265/70R16 mounted on 16x8 MB Motoring Rocker wheels. Wheels were from Discount Tire.
