tire mounting question

can someone please explain what this means (i am not a suspension guy and a little slow)

Be warned if you do mount these tires on there, tire companys like discount dont really want you to leave with them. The outside lugs rub hard against the suspension without spacers. It eventually eats through the rubber after a few miles. I had a friend at discount that let me leave them on and drive off after they mounted them.

it is off this thread

the tire is technically too wide for the wheel. while yes, it does, FIT, it is out of the prefered operating range of the tire manufacturer. its a legal thing. they dont want to mount them up, have you drive around , eff something up and end up killing yourself, or someone else, then come running back to sue the ppl. who mounted them up saying "well, you told me i could do it"
