Hey guys...I just got the AS 2.5" level kit installed today, and couldnt bear the stock tires for another hour. I went straight to discount tire and got the Terra Grappler 325-65R-18 (35x13.5x18) mounted on MB Motoring 18-8.5" wheels (25mm backspace). I had them test fit one, and the only rubbing is on the back plastic wheel well, and it is flexible there anyway. The tire is exactly flush with the stock FX4 fender flares, which is what I was looking for. I am going to have it aligned tomorrow, so that might change a little bit. So far im pretty happy, and I'll post pics as soon as possible.

Guys I have a 4x2 with a Skyjacker 3" lift. I am going to be adding either 325/60 (33.4) or 325/65 (34.6) to my 18" FX4 wheels. Havent made up my mind yet, but I want to know more about the rubbing on the upper control arm. Can anyone clarify. I can certainly clear 35's.

I just had 325/65 r18 put on my stock rims and the tires did rub a little on the upper control arm. Just take a grinder and take a little off the control arm like I did and you won't have a problem. Be careful not to take to much off though.

That doesn't sound like a good idea to fix tire rub. The UCA is engineered with tolerences and removing material from them weakens them significantly. Drive at your own risk, I guess.

When does it rub though? While going straight or only while turning? Would the grinding start to eat away at the wall of the tire?

So if its flush it means theyre the same backspacing as the OEM wheels. Theres no rubbing on the uppper control arms?

Tonka - what company did you buy your wheels from?

I installed the 325/65/18 Kumhos today and the gap between the tire and upper control arm is MINIMAL. At full turn this is going to rub, but it looks nice.

Tonka and I have the same setup now. I got my wheels and tires from Discount tire. They are a little past flush with the fender flare, and do stick out probably 1.25"- 1.5" more than the stock wheels. My stock wheels set inside the fender a little bit. To my knowledge I have had no rubbing on the control arm, but am having some rubbing on the black plastic inner wheel well. I am going to trim it today, and expect that to clear it up. Hope this helps.
