I need to know the same thing

Actually I need to know if I should take the brake fluid cable off of the calipers before removing the calipers. I want to replace my front brake pads on an 2004 F150. I am hoping someone will place step by step directions on how to change the pads. I used to change them on a toyota 4X4 but the brakes seem to be different. Back then I had to bleed the brakes and I was wondering if I will need to bleed the brakes on the 04 F150. Right now the calipers wont come off because they have dug a groove in the rotor. I am not sure how to get them off without removing the brake fluid line. Thanks, Brian

I reused my V springs. It was very easy to change the pads. Take off two 13mm (I believe that was the bolt size) and the caliper pops right. The trick was holding the new pads on with the V springs on and putting the caliper back on. Took me a few try's before I got it.
