Exclamation Rear Brake Lines???

I was walking to my truck after class today and noticed that a hose was hanging down from my rear axle. it was connected to the brake lines at a "T" on the left hand side of the axle. it is a plastic accordion type hose ziptied to the "T". i cant find where the other end connects or what this hose does. Anyone have some suggestions or know??? im worried about driving with the hose just hanging there. thank you very much in advance.

Sounds like it may be the axle vent tube.

^^^^ yeah, it's the breather for the axle. The little block that it connects to threads into the axle, and is hollow to allow venting. The brake lines also screw into the block, but are isolated from the vent.
