Tires for 2001 SuperCrew

I was wondering which tires yall would recommend for me. I am looking for some tires that have the off road look but are mostly for on road. Also, what is the biggest size I can get with stock everything? thanks, mac

if its 4x4 a 285/70/17 or 285/75/16 is the biggest you can go without any modifications....

take a look at the BFG AT KO and the ProComp Xtreme AT as well as the Nitto Terra Grappler.

terrra grapplers your best bet or the new dune grapplers. you can do 33s if its 4x4.

I just purchased four 265/75/16s from Discount Tire for under 550 installed, with warranty. I was staying on the safe side in fear of speedometer inaccurracies.

They are not bad at all. A more agressive look. Not quite as good looking as the NITOs

I know, as many others have said, a 285/70/17 is best on the 17" rim, can't say for the 16". I did see a truck with 315/70/16 I think that was the size and it looked like he did nothing, no torsion bars, no trimming, but it made the rim look waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too small, kinda goofy lookin'. I just got these, Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors, LT285/70/17's:

Great tires, off road look and I get 90k km's out of a set lighting them up all the time, fishtailing etc.

You can squeeze 285/75-16's on a 4x2 but they would look better with a leveling kit. If you don't want to lift the truck any, I'd stick with 265/75-16's.
