new tires--stock wheels

I've got a 97 F150 2WD, with the chrome steelies and 235/70/16 stock tires..... Time for new tires and I was wondering if the optional 255/70s will fit on the steel wheels? Do the trucks that come with the 255s come with a wider wheel???

All 97-03 F-150 16 inch wheels were 7 inches wide.
