I've seen very few reviews on the Yoko's. The Nitto's have proven to be one of the best all terrian tires available, so I'd go with them.

A/T Tires

I just got my truck about a month ago and it's got some cooper discoverer A/T. The tires have 35K miles and the front ones are getting pretty worn. I'm looking for some new A/T tires too and was looking into the Yoko's and didn't see much and the reviews I did see were mixed. I've been on tirerack allot lately and for a good bargain tire I found the Firestone Destination A/T. My buddies tell me to go with the BFG All-Terrain.

BFGs were running about $140/tire on a good deal at dealership
Firestones were about $100/tire on a good deal at dealership
Yoko's were about $100/tire on a good deal at dealership

Check out the reviews on tirerack if you haven't bought tires already. If anyone's got any inputs on the Firestones or BFGs I'd love to hear them. I'm still undecided on which tire to get.

The Geolander A/T-S is a new tire. Very little feedback so far. Even though it has a 40k treadwear warranty vs the Revo's 50k, the treadwear rating is the same (500). Hopefully this tire will have longer life than the Geolander A/T + II which has a 360 treadwear rating and has been a 40-50k tire by most owners.

When considering prices, treadlife should be a factor. If this tire is only godo for 40k miles at $100ea, but the BFG AT KO is 70-80k at $140, then the BFG would cost less per mile.

I haven't heard anything bad about the Firestone Destination AT. Still releatively new, so we haven't head the real life mileage yet. It doesn't look as aggressive as some other AT tire, which is what many people like about the BFG.

I had the Yoko AT/S II on a 4-Runner about 4 years ago. They were sticky and very quiet but at 26K they were gone. I'm not hard on tires but that was a little silly.

I'm sure you meant the A/T + II, as the A/T S has only been on the market for a couple months. Treadwear 360 vs. 500 for this new model.

My mom has them on her Sequoia. A little over 25k miles and they hardly look worn. I haven't really tested them off road, but sand hasn't seemed to stop them at the dunes or the beach. Only problem is that they are hard to keep balanced.

I've had the BFG's as well, and it's a smoother riding tire and has been proven to be one of the best a/t tire on the market over the last 30 or so years. The Yok's look better, but the BFG's are better offroad and will prolly last longer.
