Gears

I have a 04 f150 4.6 . Have done some mods tuner, cai, and exhaust. I have 305/40/22 tires . Thinking of getting some gears . Can anyone tell me what size gears would be good for that size tire . And what would the advantage and disadvantage be ? Thank u

I went with 4.1 for that same size wheel/tire combo, and I also have intake, exhaust, and tuning. It was definitely a great improvement over the stock 3.55 I had.

I have a 5.4 though... and even I partially wish I had gotten 4.56 gears. Especially if you have stock 3.73s, I would suggest going to 4.56s to make sure it is really worth the cost.

The downside is the engine will run at higher RPMS and you will likely lose some MPG. If you REALLY want performance, go 4.56, fi you want a solid blend of economy and performance, go with 4.1s.

Richmond gears is supposed to be one of the best, it's the same as "Ford Racing." That's what I have.

As for the headlights, sorry to say it but they are actually stock and my friend photoshopped the amber out for that pic. ALTHOUGH, that same friend also claims he saw a brand new F150 with headlights that look totally OEM with clear housing. He waited for the owner to come but he never did
