bolt pattern

hey i was woundering what the bolt pattern is for an 04 f150 4x4. I am looking to get aftermarket wheels and tires but wasnt sure what the pattern is. Plus if i turn the torsion bars up will i be able to fit 33's on aftermarket wheels or will i have some trimming to be done..
thanks

is it a new body style or old body style? new body is 6x135 bolt pattern and you can fit 33's without any suspension modifications

well- you need to test fit the 17's alot of 17" rims will NOT clear the brake calipers on the new F150's so be sure to verify the fit before you drop a chunk of cash but assuming you're good there- yes, you can fit the 33" mickey T's without any suspension changes (if its a new body style f150...)

I agree. Also, you don't have torsion bars, you have coilover shocks.

Im pretty sure that the 17'' on the aftermarket rims were good. Ford made the change mid 05 on the calipers.

That is true, but many of the 04's have gone thru the TSB which replaces the rotor and caliper with the later model. If that has been done, the limitation would be the same as the 05 up.

okay- there is nothing you can really do to moidfy the coilover- every dealer is different- some are cool with people modding their trucks, others wont touch em... if you put on a leveling kit, and 2k miles later your upper ball joints blow out, ford will most likely void the waranty on the suspension system because the leveling kit changes the angle of operability/increases the wear on the joints... understand?
