35's On Stock Rims

I have 35x12.50x18 Cooper STT and I was going to put them on my stock 18x8 rims. Can someone tell me if it is safe? What will happen if I do this?

Yes, you can fit those on your OEM wheels. However, your OEM wheels are 7.5 inches wide. Most tire manufacturers recommend an 8 to 10 inch wide wheel for a 12.50 inch wide tire. Usually, running a tire on a wheel that is narrower than recommended can cause the center portion of the tire's tread to wear slightly faster than normal, similar to running too much air pressure. However, several members here and at FTW have run this combo with no problems at all.

I have put on about 450 miles with my new tires the 35" are just right and a very good ride. When I called tire places they told me that they will not fit! Thank y'all for the help with my tires.

Will 35"s fit with stock rims and a 2" autospring? It seems most of the guys with the 35"s have the 2.5" leveler.

35" On Stock Rims

I have been working out tire pressure. The tire has 50 lbs Max. the tire grauge put in 42 lbs Front/Back. I took it down to 35 lbs Front/ Back this way the ware pattern ia all the way across the tread. Is this safe to run it that low?
