I need a used stock 18" tire to go on my spare rim. I shredded one of my tires, and the spare has now been mounted in it's place. This leaves me with no spare. I had the same problem. I puntured my tire at work while taking paperwork to a crew. I just went down to my local junk yard a bought a used one from a wrecked truck. Cost me $35.00 after taxes. Beats the $150-$200.00 for a new you might never use!

 

Yep, that's the next thing I will try. I did try a used tire place near my house and they wanted $65. I was hoping someone had one just lying around. I don't want to buy a new one, because I'll probably never use it. I plan on getting new tires next year.

Did you find one at the junkyard? If so they usually don't mount them there, so you can go to any tire shop and have them do it for you.

Get four new and give up three old, just keep the best one.
Which is probably your old spare.
