what is the offset

what is the offset

i was wondering what the offset would be for a set of 17" rims for a 2001 f150 i am looking for a set of american racing wheels if any body could help i would appreciate it

Offset will depend on the width you go with. It's just easier to look for 4.5 inches of backspacing.

would it be alright to put 285/75/16 on a 16x8 or would it look weird

That's the largest I would go with a 16x8.

You could fit 265/75-16's, 285/75-16's, 295/75-16's, 305/70-16's or 315/75-16's on a 16x8 inch wheel.
