Wheels and Tires

Hello All... I have an 06 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4, I have just installed TRUE dual exhaust "Flow Master" and in the process of installing 5" SuperLift (4.5" front 2" rear) From my research I think 35's will fit. I am looking @ Pro Comp 6001 wheels with **** Cepek FC-II 35X13.5 tires. Has anyone used these wheels and/or tires before? The superlift came with updated shocks front and rear (Not Coil-overs)... I am retired and just do some mild off-roading and Surf fishing. Any comments or guidance would be appreciated.

NEW-Bee to this forum. I am a diehard BlueOval fan. This is my seventh F150 Your site is informative and a pleasure to read. I'll post pic's as soon as I decide on wheel and tire package.

A few members here and at FTW have the Pro Comp sheels and **** Cepek tires. I've never heard anything bad about either.

Thanks for replying Wandell, I had BFG all terrain T/A's on my 02' truck. I put over 50K miles on them.. I wish I could find those in a 35" x 18" for my new truck. I have done a little research on the **** Cepek and Toyo tires. At 300.oo plus for tire (not including rim) I'm just trying not to make a mistake. I do mostly highway driving and I want a quite tire. I do like to play off-road... but mostly is on the outer banks of NC. It's sandy and speed is keep slow due to blind washouts. Thanks again for your reply...BOB

hey blue oval... i added my 2 cents in the suspension forum on my 4.5" superlift that i'm very pleased with....

as for tires, today i'm replacing my nitto 325/50/r20s on ford oem 20" rims (w/spacers) at a hefty sum of ~$2400....the nittos would not balance...i spend $120 to have them road forced and 3 of 4 were way out of spec...i'm more than a bit unhappy as the nittos were mucho dinero....

I'm buying/bought BFG 315/70/r17 on american racing wheel, mohave 17" teflon rims...i'm hoping that the ~5/8 in reductioin in height, added sidwall, and lower weight will produce a decent ride...i'll post how they turn out

Thanks Tayloe, I did read your response on the suspension thread... I am new to suspension mod's and just want to make sure I make an intelligent choice. Of course when I called the manufactures' today and asked numerous questions they each spoke (-) of the other. I am still pondering that question. As for BFG's A/T' TAs, you can not go wrong. I put 50K on a set and with normal tire rotation I NEVER had to rebalance them. They wore even and provided excellent all around good traction and were actually quiet at highway speed. If they made a set of 35X13.5 18's I would order them. I can relate to Big$$$'s for tires... I will keep in mind to stay clear of NITTO tires. My son had an issue with a set on his rice burner (Separated ply internally) of course they would not replace it... said it was his driving habits that caused the failure. Good Luck and thanks for the response BOB
