Paging Wandell (Backspacing Qs)

Or anyone that can help.
I have a 2006 Ford F150 STX 4x4 with 33 inch Nitto AT tires on my factory 17x7 rims.
I just purchased my new pro comp 1079 polished 17x9 wheels with 4.75 inches of backspacing. I have not yet received the wheels , but wanting to know how bad they will stick out of the fenders?
I am not opposed to them sticking out of the fenders 2 or so inches , but I dont want it to be so far as to look stupid. Whats the verdict ?

Thanks for any help.

Mike

Well, your OEM wheels are 7.5 inches wide with 5.5 inches of backspacing. So the new 17x9's will stick out about 2.25 inches farther than your OEM wheel. Also, be sure to test fit one of the new wheels before mounting and balancing tires. Ford changed the brake calipers sometime during the 05 model year and this is causing fitment problems with some (not all) 17 inch aftermarket wheels.

Thanks man.

I will pull the wheel out of the box and check for fitting issues before mounting it with the tire.
I will update if the pro comps clear the calipers or not.

Wandell,
Would a 20x10 with a -25 offset and 4 1/2 BS stick out about 3 inches from the factory 4x2 wheels?

Those 20x10's would stick out 3 1/2 inches farther than the OEM wheels. You need a lot more backspacing.
