Question Stick out

If I put 17x9s (5 inch offset)with 285/70R17 on my 2000 f150 , will they stick out? If so how much. I live in one of those darn states where that maters. Wheels would be Eagle Alloys 102. Im going to be installing a body lift with it too. I've looked at some pics its just hard to tell.

I assume you mean 5" backspacing, which would be 0 offset on a 9" wide wheel. The tires will stick out 1" farther than the stock 17" wheels. This will put the bulge of the sidewall almost even with the fender flares, but the tread will still be inside the fenders.

I agree. I think the edge will be just inside the wheelwells.
