2.5", Stock 20's, 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers?
I have 305/50/20's (33's) Nitto all terrains with a leveling kit and if I turn the wheel almost all the way left or right they rub pretty good, so i can image how much 35's would rub. But mine are after market 20's so maybe there's a big difference.
Yep, wheel width and backspacing is just as important to tire fitment as tire size. That is why people can run 35x12.50's on stock wheels with only a leveling kit. Those would never fit with a 10 inch wide aftermarket wheel with less backspacing.
just to bring this back.... the stock 20s are 8.5 in wide. and I believe they have a 44mm offset... but im not sure if that is right because that is like 6.5in of backspaace. I will measure my wheels when i get them back. But, now that I know they are 8.5in wide... i think i may end up running 33" tires. we shall see.
