2.5", Stock 20's, 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers?
I have a 2006 FX4 with the 2.5" daystar lift and stock 20" wheels.
I know that I can put the BFG all terrains on with this configuration I was wondering if anyone knows if the Nitto Terra Mud Grapplers 35x12.50r20s would fit without rubbing.

I have been thinking about picking up someones takeoff 20s and mounting some 35's on them. This seems like a great way to fit 35s with 20" wheels with only a level kit! As soon as any of you 06 guys get new tires make sure to post a picture!

I don't think its going to work. You are going to have bad tire rub. You should seriously consider a 33" tire. or go with a 6" lift MINIMUM! I have almost considered going with a 33" tire so I can get more body clearance over the tire.....but thats just me, I would rather skate a 35" tire than stuff a 35" tire in to a tight space.
Guys fit 35" tires on factory 18" without rubbing. Why wouldnt it work with the 20s? Same offset and width I believe. Obviously you wouldnt want to try to fit 35's with only a level kit on wider wheels with less backspacing like you and other lifted guys have. I think someone should try it! I am actively looking for a set of 2006 20s, and as soon as i find a decent price I will probably get them and give it a shot.

Is width a problem with these tires even if I stick to a 33"
Nitto's website puts the 35" at 12.20 and the 33" at 12.80

I think im going to start agreeing with you guys....when you say a 2.5" spacer kit with 35" tires will work......ITS GOING TO RUB LIKE A MOTHERF*CKER!!!! it doesn't matter 12.20 and 12.80 at 35" tire is a 35" tire!!!
How do you explain all the 04-06 4x4 owner's that are running 35x12.50's on OEM wheels with only a leveling kit? Also, the width of the tire matter's greatly. Also, the width and backspacing on the wheels are critical to fitment. It's been proven time and time again here that you can fit a 35x12.50 tire on a 04-06 4x4 F-150 by using a 2.5 inch leveling kit and the OEM 17x7.5 and 18x7.5 inch wheels. The question here is really whether or not the new OEM 20 inch wheels are also 7.5 inches wide with 5 1/2 inch of backspacing.
Yeah im sure it fits, but im just saying it probably rubs like a ****! I guess im person that like to clear a tire than stuff the BIGGEST tire that I can get under my fenders. I would just stick to a "THIRTY THREE" inch tire!!!!
I know what you mean Twstd02. "Fits" means different things to different people. To some it means and inch of clearance all the way through the suspension/steering cycle. To others it means the fenders don't get torn off!
