Anybody with 35's ...........
on an 04 - 06 4x4 with only a 2.5 inch leveling kit. Need the pros and cons of doing this. Also need to know what size of aftermarket rim and what the backspacing is. Thanks
A lot of people are running 35x12.50's on 04-06 4x4's by using a leveling kit and the OEM 7.5 inch wide wheels. If you want an aftermarket wheel, I'd stick with 33's. The backspacing on the OEM wheels is 5.5 inches. Try to stay close to that.
im running a cooper discover stt 35x12.50x18, on a set of 18" helo max 6, with 5.5 backspacing, and the wheel is 9 inches wide. my truck is a 05 F150 KR 4x4 with only the 2.5 leveling kit. I had to do some very minor triming to the inside top part of the fender well, you know the black plastic stuff up under there. i have no rubbing what so ever, only on full articulation do i get a very minor rub somewhere, i havent located it yet.
Performance, isnt amazing, i can still turn em over if i punch it for about a foot but then they catch, if i powerbreak, i can turn em over all day long. but it still gets going, i deff get worse gas millage, i went from 18 mpg to about 12.5 13 with a heavy foot so be expected to fill up a little more often but it is so worth it. the truck actually looks like a truck, i get compliments all the time, girls are like, is that your truck....
, i was also told that i couldnt fit 35s, but i did the math and realized i could.
Final opinion, do, it will make your truck look awesome i swear by it. if anybody can help me, i have a camera phone, how can i take a picture of my truck and post it..??

I am running 35's and loving it. I was once on this site searching tirelessly through the posts and finally got some good information, (Thank You Wandell). I have a 2005 FX4 and I added:
3" Leveling Kit
315/70/17 BFG AT's
17" Eagle Alloy 187's
5" backspacing
The tires do stick out a little but my truck does finally look like a truck. 315's are doable with the right research and I too had to do a little trimming. Well worth shaving some plastic for the looks I get wen I go to the store...

Dog'em when I ordered the 187's the vendor gave me 2 options for backspacing. They were, I believe, 4.6" and 5". I even when back to the work order and looked. The workorder for the shop that did the work shows Eagle Alloy 187's 5" backspacing. Hope this helps... I have attached the link for you to review:

Look at part number:1879-8994 and I believe you are dead on with the backspacing being 4.625. Not sure why they told me 5 but they did. Dog'em, to be honest I am just glad they work. I drove myself crazy looking through these post and am happy to have just found something that would let me run 35's.
