325/60-18 on 18 x 8.5 wheels

I need some advice. I thought after spending quite some time reading all the posts and looking at the pictures that I was all set. Then when I went to order my wheels and tires they told me this was a bad combination. (325/60-18 on 18 x 8.5 wheels) They said this tire was to wide for the wheel and while it would fit it would wear funny and then suggestion I go with some 20's. Are they just trying to upsell me or our there some valid concerns. I know some of you out there have this set up or are in the business and could let me know. Thanks for sharing all the info.

what tire specifically- the tire could be recommended for a 9, or a 9.5" minimum rim width- in that case, you are over-technically. you would most likely be fine with your current configuration. if you overinflated/or underinflated your tires, you would get abnormal wearing, but if you take care of it, no problems.

(im running tires that are recommended for an 8.5, and i have them on a 7.5 rim- no problems)

I think they will be fine on 8.5 inch wheels.
