Bigger Tires and Rims

I have a 2003 F-150 FX4, with a 3 inch body lift. It's about time to get new tires, and I'm trying to find out what larger size tire/wheel combo would be the best. As far as I know I have no local 4X4 shops around to help me (Watertown, NY). If someone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. My stock size is 26570R17, on 17 inch rims. I'd like something like the bfgoodrich mud terrain tires, but I have no idea what size wheel they would fit on. Thanks.

Here's my '03 with 17x8.5 rims and 285/70/17 BFG AT KO's. Mine has no lift at all, and the torsion bars are at stock location. I think if you have a 3" body lift you might want a little bigger, but if it was me, I would go with a 33" tall tire but wider like 12.50 and a 10" wide wheel.

I have a 2004 F-150 FX4 and i have a 3 inch body lift and a leveling kit on it. I just purchased Nitto Mud Grapplers. They're 35x12.50/18 and i got Helo Maxx 6 wheels that are 18x9. There is a pic on here of someone running that same setup. Looks great!

I'd suggest going with a 33x12.50 on a 10 inch wide wheel with 4 1/2 inches of backspacing (which is what most wheels for our trucks have). You can fit 35x12.50's also if you crank up the torsion bars and trim a little plastic off the front bumpers lower valance. Whether you want a 16x10, 17x10 or 18x10 is up to you.
