Brake Upgrade worth the $$$
Is the upgrade to bigger pads worth the extra money?
May seem like a dumb question, but I'm not too intellectual when it comes to some stuff.

For a daily driver...no.
For occational SCCA racing....maybe.
NASCAR truck series...yes.
Because they look cool...maybe.
Hole in your wallet....yes.
They will stop you better by a few feet. If you are following that close and need those extra feet, I feel sorry for you because of your insurance bill. For emergencies most times a few feet won't make and difference.
A less expensive way to go might be a better designed caliper. Like BAER brake 4,6 or 8 piston design. The pad will be about the same size, but you will get even pressure across the surface resulting in more efficient braking.
