I just got a new set of bfg mud terrains. They are 35x12.5x17 and they are on my stock rim. Since my rim is only 7.5" wide i know i need to watch the air pressure closely or i will get a crown or dip. Any recomendations on a starting point?? Any help will be usefull.

 

Get some chalk and mark a nice fat line across the tread of your tires and then drive about 30'. Then look and see where the chalk wore off the tires. If it wore off in the middle, decrease air pressure. If it wore off on the edges then increase air pressure.

 

Do you think it will be the same all around, or should o do the rear seperatly??

 

Do each tire individually. Also, you want to do them when they have not been driven for at least three or four hours (i.e. cold tire pressure) and that with colder outside temps they will have lower pressure than with the hot temps of summer. I check mine about every other week but only use the chalk trick about once a month.

Start at 25 psi. I had 305s on 7 inch and I ran 25. At that pressure expect the truck to handle like a boat floating on the waves. The sidewalls will flex quite a bit. It does make for a soft ride though.
