I believe you can go with a 315/70/17, but I wouldn't. It will really fill up the fenderwells and possibly cause a light rub. This is not the real problem, though. The problem is that a tire that big will really limit your axle articulation, meaning less suspension travel. Tires that big will also kill your in town gas mileage and power, as it takes so much more effort to turn them. You would probably be more happy with a 285/70/17 or a 305/70/17. I prefer the 285 because it is bigger than stock, but it won't kill gas mileage and power like a larger tire will. The 285 is a 33"/12.50", the 305 is a 34/12.50, and the 315 is a 35/12.50 I believe.
