Tire Fitament on stock truck w/ stock rims
My Dad just got himself a 2001 Supercrew 4x4 and has made it my mission to find the biggest tires we can mount on the stock rims before encountering rubbing at wheel lock or with the suspension fully compressed. Anyone know? I tried tirerack and they claim the 265/70 17 that came stock as large as we should go .
Thanks in advance from a fresh forum member.

Right, 285/70-17's (33x11.50) will fit easily. The new 295/70-17 (34x12.00) Nitto Tera Grapplers will also work. Several people have fit 315/70-17 (35x12.50) BFG AT KO's by using the stock wheels, cranking up the torsion bars and trimming a little plastic off the front bumper's lower valance, but it is an extremely tight fit. He would probably still have some minor rubbing off road.

CurtDiesel, I am buying this weekend and have the 16's too. Looking at 265 75's for my 2001 SCrew 4x4. How much did the larger tire size effect your acceleration? I don't want to kill the low end pick up or make pulling to difficult. Thanks for any input, I should be buying Revo's or Firestone Destination AT's.
