2004 Lug Nut Question

I purchased a 2004 F-150 XL Scab 4X4 with the steel wheels and 255/65/17 tires. I have been shopping for OEM aluminum take-offs on ebay and I noticed that most of the wheel or wheel/tire combos do not include lug nuts. I am assuming that I can't use the lug nuts from my steel wheels on the aluminum wheels.

My question is: Are all of the lug nuts for the aluminum wheels (XLT, FX4, Lariat, 17", 18") the same, and if so, what size are they?

If they are takeoff wheels then they will use the same lug nuts you have now. Its only when you go from a hub centric (stock) to a lug centric wheel (aftermarket) that you need to switch lug nuts. The lug centric have the tapered "acorn" style which the hub centric have the flat washer on the end.

Thanks for the info powerstroke! I bought a set of '04 FX4 wheels today on ebay, and I'm looking forward to getting them installed.
