Best wheel for a 35" mtr

I have a 2000 F-150 supercab 4x4 with the 70R17 and want 35" mtr tires, but i was told they dont fit on my rim so if i buy rims what size should i get. i was looking at the 75R16. Also would maybe i was thinking that maybe the 305's on my rim might be better but i was wondering if it would look too small with a 3inch body lift, 2" rear add leaf, and crank up my torsion bars any help on this would be appreciated thanks.

The stock wheels are 17x7.5 inches wide, which is 1/2 inch narrower than recommeded for a 315/70-17 or 35x12.50-17. However, several people here and at FTW are running that combo without any problem. Usually running a tire on a rim that is narrower than recommended will cause the center portion of the tread to wear slightly faster than normal. Similar to running too high an air pressure. If you are gonna buy wider 17's, I suggest going ahead and getting a 9 or 10 inch wide wheel. You could also run 33's with a body lift and it would look fine. That's what I have.
