18" Lightnings on V6

I've found a set of 18" factory Lightning wheels that I'd like to put on my 1998 V6 F150. It currently has the stock 16" wheels. I don't care for the look of them, plus I'm tired of losing the center caps. Could someone inform me as to the pros and cons of switching to 18" wheels and tires? Thanks for any help...

expensive tire changes. Depending on the moment of inertia of boths setups you could lose a little power but not too much. Just make sure the lugs are the right size. I am going to do the same thing sometime soon.

You will lose a little performance just because the mass of the wheel is further out, but it is barely noticable. I have a v6 with 20's and I love them.
